vacation...

WARNING!!!

Really, we are so very excited to drive to Florida!

So we headed out on a Friday night, right after dinner.  Hit the road about 7:30pm...excitment reigned!

So much so that we left the garage door open.  Thank the Lord for good neighbors with the other remote for it ;)

We drove through NY city about 12:45am and left a little "gift" for the people of NYC...yup, i dropped a hub cap somewhere in the heart of it all, oops!  Saw Washington DC at night a sight I woke my hubby up to share with me!  Other then some traffic and a tractor trailer break down, we sailed on until morning!

Our resident carsick buddy...NOT one accident on the whole way.  WAHOO!!

The sun shone as we continued south.  We had packed snacks, books on tape, books galore, and a treat for each kid that they recieved after our picinic lunch in South Carolina.  Loved getting to strech out legs and eat in the sunshine next to palm trees :)  Headed in the right direction!!

The afternoon called for heavy napping, by all in the van.  TOO CUTE!  We were starting to get to the point of thinking that our crazy idea of driving straight through might just work, WHAT???

The kids all did really well, working together to get things around the van, telling "jokes" (if you have ever heard the big one tell his own, you know i use the term loosely), sharing crayons, talking about how they were doing on their license plate search, or working together to finish up each state info sheet before we hit another one ;)

Well, we made it!  24.5 hours after we left our driveway we pulled into the in-laws in sunny, warm, FLORIDA, baby!!  Couldn't actually believe we pulled it off and that we all enjoyed it too boot :)
