Why...

has it been so long since i have blogged?  well, for those of you who really know me, you will understand in two words...baseball season.  yup, baseball season is upon us here in our tiny town.  earliest start i can remember in the 7 years we have lived here.  last year there was a pile of snow in the corner of the field parking lot until june!!  REALLY 
now if you are getting to know me, let me explain...we love baseball in our home.  we watch baseball, we are die hard red sox fans, and we play baseball.  for the latter reason, we are in baseball season.  my hubby is the head coach for our oldest's team, has been for years and i am the team manager (un-official title).  so for this reason baseball season in our house means late night of planning, phone calls, team updates, and keeping the team website all updated.  as well as getting to practices with all the gear, leauge meetings, coaches clinics, and did i tell you that we now have 3-4 praciteces each week?  who told these kids to grow up???? 
really we love this time of year, it really is like taking on another job.  we love the kids, most of them have been with us for 5+ years and it is fun to see them develop!!  we love the game and teaching skills as well as charecter.  it is a time to see my son grow and see my husband grow as well. 
this year the girl has decided to play baseball as well, another team another practice and game schedule to add to the calender...but she is on another coaches team, a team of boys.  yup, she wants to play baseball, no softball for her ;)
and the little boy is playing on the girls team, REALLY!  at the practice on sunday, he kept up with almost all the drills too.  his catching of flying balls is in need of some work, but otherwise he looked like one of the 7/8 year olds.  did i mention he is 4?  and that is was a 2 hour practice?
this is why i have been a little busy to blog, i will try to be back soon :)  with some baseball photos?  hmmmm, guess that means i need to remember to take the camera to practice tonight....
