yes, it's been a little while...it's baseball season :)
anyway, today i read this article. i had tears rolling down my face (i do often when reading her blog, it's that good!). and then something happened...i called my kids inside for lunch. they shared with me that they were just about to start a nerf war in the yard...and guess what? i let them just play! i am thankfully inside, eating my lunch, listening to the sounds of them counting off paces and shrieking in fun!
yes, eventually, the big one has to come in to do some more school work (the youngers are finished with the "regular" school days), but for right now, i have let them take joy in the moments spent with each other!
